Healthcare Grant

On Monday, June 6 Pace University played host to the Hudson Valley Consortium Healthcare Initiative as they received a $1.048 million grant from USDOL. This group was led by the Orange County Workforce Investment Board, and includes 6 other Hudson Valley workforce areas, 28 educational providers and 50 healthcare providers. The project seeks to increase the number of qualified instructors working at the training institutions, and to also increase the number of preceptors in clinical settings to train nursing students. Ultimately, this will lead to an increase in the amount of nurses and allied healthcare workers in the Hudson Valley.
