Orange Works is supported by a grant from the Orange County Workforce Investment Board in partnership with the Orange County Employment and Training Administration, New York State Department of Labor, Orange County Community College, Orange/Ulster BOCES, Regional Economic Community Action Program, and Newburgh Community Action Committee.

Orange Works is responsible for initiating a multitude of workforce development programs in Orange County, New York . We assist employers and job seekers with employment services, labor market information, and provide training for economically disadvantaged adults, youth, dislocated workers, and individuals transitioning from welfare to work.

Orange Works seeks to build up the labor market by training the workforce and placing workers in jobs using creative strategies to link workers and employers. Orange Works stimulates the labor market by implementing policies such as business incentives, and provides a wide assortment of valuable resources to Orange County’s diverse community.

This website is designed to direct adults, youth, dislocated workers, and workforce development professionals to information on these programs and services. Employers will find information in several areas, including hiring incentives and how to find and train employees. We provide services on transitional employment opportunities for soon to be displaced workers and may assist businesses to take advantage of grants and other potentially rewarding opportunities.

All Orange Works services and resources are available to everyone at no cost through a network of One-Stop Career Centers located in Middletown, Newburgh, and Port Jervis.
